About Everett L. Bryant
Bryant was born in Galion, Ohio on 13 November 1864. He studied with Thomas Anshutz, Hugh Breckenridge and William Merritt Chase in Philadelphia prior to going to Europe. He spent several years in Paris under Blanc and Couture and some time in London with Herkomer.. Bryant returned to America and lived first in Hendrecks, Pennsylvania and then in Baltimore, Maryland. He specialized in floral still life paintings in both oil and watercolor. Everett Lloyd Bryant won a silver Medal at the Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco in 1915 and exhibited frequently in national exhibitions. About 1930 Bryant moved to Los Angeles, California where he was still an active painter when he died on 7 September 1945. |
